Planetair is proud to announce its partnership with Tourisme durable Québec (TDQ) as the official carbon offset provider for their 2024 Symposium. This collaboration ensured the event’s carbon neutrality, reinforcing TDQ’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
Tourisme durable Québec first implemented measures to reduce the direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with organizing the symposium. Then, using the Outil Bilan GES Tourisme (Tourism GHG Assessment Tool), TDQ calculated the remaining carbon footprint. Planetair provided the necessary carbon credits to offset these unavoidable emissions, enabling TDQ to host a truly carbon-neutral symposium.
This partnership highlights the importance of addressing the carbon footprint of events and activities. Planetair invites organizations of all sizes to follow TDQ’s lead and explore how carbon offsetting can become a valuable tool in their sustainability strategies. Together, we can work towards a greener future and make a meaningful difference in the fight against climate change.
