A Partnership That Drives Change
Alta Voyages, a student travel specialist, has partnered with Planetair to offer school groups a tangible solution: offsetting the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions linked to their travel while contributing to climate education for Quebec’s youth.
This partnership is built on a rigorous, dual-impact approach: reducing global emissions and strengthening local resilience. It is powered by the Planetair Youth Climate Portfolio, a unique initiative that combines certified carbon offsetting with support for transformative educational projects.
Planetair Youth: Fostering Youth Engagement Today
Youth are at the heart of this initiative. Through Planetair Youth, a portion of the contributions is directly invested in educational programs led by the Monique-Fitz-Back Foundation, a recognized leader in environmental and social education.
Concretely, this means that every school trip can also:
- SupportSors de ta bulle, a campaign that mobilizes youth aged 12 to 17 around climate issues by promoting local action and collective reflection;
- Contribute toEnseigner Dehors, a program that encourages outdoor learning and strengthens students’ connection with their environment;
- Fund and support the development of school-based environmental and social projects, such as educational gardens, composting, schoolyard greening, and other initiatives linked to climate change, waste management, outdoor education, or living in harmony.
Since 2006, the Foundation has reached over 520,000 young people. Thanks to this partnership, its mission continues—one action at a time.

On the climate side, the approach is rigorous. Emissions from travel are offset through Gold Standard–certified carbon credits—a global benchmark known for their transparency, measurable impact, and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
These projects include:
