Planetair is proud to announce that this year’s Montreal International Jazz Festival will be certified carbon neutral.  Planetair offset the emissions generated throughout the duration of the Festival, including those by generators, electricity consumption, artist accommodation, and travel by artists and Festival staff.  These results were achieved with the support of Rio Tinto Alcan and the Quebec Action Fund for Sustainable Development, who have committed support for three years.  Planetair hopes that this pilot project will encourage other Quebec festivals to follow suit and reduce their climate footprints.
